Sunday Morning Service
Every Sunday morning throughout the year, UUFT holds a service for members, friends and visitors. Services are at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. and generally run a little over an hour. A nursery for babies and toddlers is available at the earlier service, and the nursery and classes for children of all ages are available at the later service. The atmosphere is relaxed. You may dress as you please; casual clothing is fine.
There is a good deal of diversity from one Sunday to another. Usually our minister leads the service and gives a sermon, but at least once a month a visiting speaker provides the focus. Common elements of a service include music, hymns, sharing of joys and sorrows, poetry and other inspirational readings, and open discussion of the day's topic (at the earlier service). There is time after the service to mingle, enjoy coffee, and peruse the abundant art and literature. You are welcome to sign the visitor's book and receive the free newsletter.
