“For some people in Topeka, Highland Park High School hasn’t always had the best reputation, but the esteem for the Highland Park Scots Theatre has landed 14 students the opportunity of a lifetime. Last May, the Highland Park Scots Theatre was selected to attend The American High School Theatre Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. The trip will take place in August. They were one of 51 groups chosen from 2300.” (From the Topeka Capital-Journal) Our very own Ashanti Spears is one of the students in the program. They will perform their original 40 minute 1 act production.
