Our ancestors, the Puritans and Pilgrims (who would have thunk it!) had a covenant with what they believed in… God as the ultimate. Unfortunately, defining the “ultimate” became difficult and divisive as individuals came up with their versions of what that “really meant,” and would proved it with prayer! Can we as UU’s do it better? Boy, I sure hope so!
